Lignano

🇦🇹Seit mehreren Jahren sind wir mindestens einmal im Jahr in Lignano Sabbiadoro am Doggy Beach. Und was soll ich nur sagen - life is better at the doggy beach - und das stimmt zu 100%!

Der Strand ist superschön und das Wasser im Sommer "Badewannen-warm". Allerdings ist Lignano nicht nur im Sommer zu empfehlen.

Wir waren auch schon im Frühling und im Herbst dort. Meist war das Wetter super sodass wir baden konnten, aber es konnte auch echt kalt und regnerisch sein. Davon haben wir uns aber nicht stören lassen. Weiteres Plus in der Nebensaison - Es ist nicht ganz so voll.

Wir finden Lignano ist immer einen Besuch wert!

🇬🇧 Since years we love to visit the Doggy Beach in Lignano Sabbiadoro. There is not much more to say then life is better at the doggy beach. 

The beach is perfect and the water in the summer is super warm, but Lignano is also worth a visit in spring and early autumn. Most of the time the weather is super nice and sunny however if you are going there off season you can have bad luck and you might experience some rain. We were never bothered by rainy days and enjoyed that it's not that crowded off season.

🇦🇹 2012 waren wir das erste mal am Doggy Beach und uns hat es von Anfang an super gut gefallen. Allerdings sollte man wissen, dass Lignano ein Touristen Ort ist und wer einsame Strände sucht ist hier definitiv falsch.

Der Doggy Beach befindet sich ganz am Ende der "via lungomare" in der Nähe des Leuchtturms. Der Strand grenzt direkt an "normale" Badestrände und ist wirklich ein schöner Strandabschnitt.

Ein "Minuspunkt" wenn man so will ist, dass man Liegen mieten muss, wenn man den Strand besuchen will. Man kann natürlich den Hund kostenlos mal ins Wasser lassen, aber einfach ein Handtuch vorne an den Strand legen, spielt sich nicht. Uns hat das allerdings nie gestört, weil wir ohnehin immer Liegen gebucht haben und das auch lieber haben. 

Einen Liegeplatz gibt es je nach Saison und Ausführung ab 17€ am Tag. Wir hatten bis jetzt immer ganz normale Liegen + Schirm allerdings in der ersten Reihe, die auch etwas teurer ist. Weiters gibt es auch mehrere besondere Liegeplätze wie etwa umzäunte Liegen und VIP Lounges mit Baldachin. 

Ein weiters Highlight ist die Doggy Beach Beach Bar. Von Frühstück über Snacks und Pizza bis hin zu Aperitif und Eis gibt es alles was das Herz begehrt. Die Preise sind ok und mit denen in anderen Beach Bars vergleichbar. Die Bar ist auch gleichzeitig ein kleiner Shop wo man diverse Hundesachen wie Spielzeug, Näpfe, Leinen und Co kaufen kann. Frauchen & Herrchen kommen auch nicht zu kurz und es gibt tolle Doggy Beach T-Shirts, Shorts und vieles mehr.

Man kann je nach Hotel zu Fuß gehen oder man fährt mit dem Auto. Parkplätze sind gleich in der Nähe. In der Nebensaison sind sie kostenlos in der Hauptsaison kosten sie ein paar Euro für den Tag. Es gibt auch kostenlose Parkplätze (weiße Bodenmarkierung), die sind allerdings sehr beliebt und schwer zu bekommen.

🇬🇧 In 2012 we visited the doggy beach the first time and since then we just love it. What you should know when coming to Lignano is that it is a touristy town. So if you are looking for empty beaches Lignano is the wrong place for you. 

The doggy beach is at the end of "via Lugomare" close to the lighthouse. The beach itself is between "normal" beach areas, therefore it is really nice and offers a good infrastructure. 

One disadvantage - if you want to call it like that - is that you have to rent sun beds to have a rest on the beach. Of course you can let your dog have a swim, but it's not allowed to place towels on the beach front and just lie there. We never mind it as we always rent sun beds anyway. 

Prices for sun beds for a day start at 17€ depending on the season and what kind of sun beds you want to have. We always use the simple ones in the first row. There are also fenced and VIP options with special sun beds.

Another highlight is the doggy beach beach bar which severs everything from breakfast to drinks. Prices are moderate and comparable to other beach bars. The bar also serves as a little shop where you can buy super cute apparel for you and your dog. 

You can walk or drive there with the car (depending on where you are staying). Off season parking is easy and free, during the season it can be super difficult and in blue areas you have to pay for some hours or the day. 

Camping & mobile Homes in Lignano

🇦🇹 Der Campingplatz "Camping Sabbiadoro" befindet sich in der Via Sabbiadoro 8. Das Areal ist wirklich groß und wunderschön mit den vielen Pinien. Ideal für den Urlaub mit Hund.

Für die menschliche Bespaßung ist natürlich aus gesorgt. Am Campingplatz gibts eine Poollandschaft, Fitnessgeräte, Kinderanimation und vieles mehr.

Hunde sind immer herzlich willkommen. Preise variieren je nach Saison von 2€ bis zu 7€ pro Tag pro Hund.

Unmittelbar beim Eingang zum Campingplatz gibt es einen Supermarkt, einen Shop und ein Restaurant.

Der Strand des Campingplatzes ist in ca. 2min fußläufig zu erreichen. Hunde sind auf einem kleinen Abschnitt erlaubt. Auch hier ist es möglich Liegen zu mieten allerdings ist der Strand eher klein.

Die Mobilheime gibt es in unterschiedlichen Größen, je nach Personenzahl. Wir hatten bis jetzt immer das Kleinste für 2 (+1) Personen. 

Hier hat man alles was man braucht, aber auch nicht mehr. Ein Schlafbereich mit Bett - 2 zusammengeschobene Einzelbetten - Küchenzeile, kleine Essecke (die zum 3. Bett umfunktioniert werden kann) und Badezimmer. Alles relativ klein gehalten. Großes Plus - die Klimaanlage bzw. Heizung - je nach Bedarf.

Vor dem Mobilheim hat man einen kleinen "Garten", der mit diversen Gartenmöbeln ausgestattet ist. Der große Sonnenschirm schützt nicht nur vor Sonne sondern hält auch Regen ganz gut ab. Zwischen den Bäumen ist auch eine Wäscheleine gespannt, wo man das Badezeugs aufhängen kann.

Generell ist das Mobilheim super ausgestattet, aber es gibt ein paar Sachen, die man unbedingt mitbringen sollte

• Handtücher

• Seife

• Geschirrtücher & Spülmittel

Weiters ist zu beachten, dass man die Mobilheime recht zeitig vorher buchen sollte, da sie sehr beliebt sind und oft ausgebucht!

Campen im Zelt

Den Zeltplatz kann man sich selbst aussuchen, weiters hat man die Wahl zwischen Stellplätzen mit und ohne Strom. 

Die sanitären Anlagen sind sauber und in Ordnung. Wer sich hier Luxus erwartet ist Fehl am Platz. 

Im Sommer kann es mitunter recht heiß werden und manchmal auch recht "laut" da der ganze Campingplatz voll mit zirpenden Grillen ist. Wen's nicht stört der findet hier sicher ein kleines Abenteuer.

🇬🇧 The campground at via Sabbiadoro 8 is huge and really beautiful with lots of pine trees. A perfect place to spend holidays with your dog.

It has a lot to offer for human entertainment: Pool, gyms, children's animation and many more things. Dogs are welcome and prices vary between season from 2€ up to 7€ per night per dog. 

The campground is divided in two areas seperated by a street. Mobile homes are in both areas, but places for tents/vans are just located in the main area, where pool and reception are. Right next to the campground there is a super market, a small shop and a restaurant. 

The beach is just a 2minute walk away. One part of the beach is a free area where dogs are allowed. It is also possible to rent some sun beds there. That beach is a bit smaller than the doggy beach so we prefer the doggy beach. 

The mobile homes come in different sizes depending on the amount of people. We always had the smallest option which is a 2(+1). The mobile homes are equipped with everything you need: Sleeping area with 2 single beds (which can be pushed together), a small kitchenette, a small dining table (which can be adjusted to be the 3rd bed) and a tiny bathroom. A big plus is the air condition/heating system depending on the temperature. 

In front of the mobile home you have a small outdoor area with garden furniture. There is also a big umbrella which is not only protecting you from the sun but it's also a nice rain protection. A washing line spans between the trees to dry your wet towels and swim stuff. 

In general the mobile home is well equipped, but there are some things you definitely have to bring along

• Towels

• Soap

• Kitchen towels & dishwashing detergents

You have to keep in mind that the mobile homes are super popular so you have to book them some time in advance!

Our most budget friendly alternative is camping. The biggest advantage is definitely nature as the camping-site is in the middle of pine trees which offer shade in the summer. You can choose to place your tent (or car/van) wherever you want and you have the option to get a space with or without electricity. 

The sanitary facilities are clean but if you expect some luxury it's definitely the wrong place. 

During the summer it can get pretty hot and sometimes really noisy because little crickets give a chirping concert.  If you are not bothered by this it's definitely an adventure waiting for you.
